I'd have to throw the Final Two in for a shot, UConn and Georgia Tech.

I can see good reason for you to be a Bronco fan, but Duke? What reason could you possibly have to root for Duke?

Unless you're one of those people who chose the Nat'l Champ as "their team" when they first started watching College BB.

I sense an ACC flavor to the favorites for the title.

Of course I went to Kansas, so I'm completely biased.

Here comes Carolina-lina
Here comes Carolina-lina
We hail from NCU
We've got the team to win it
We've got the spirit in it
We wear the colors White and Blue
So it's fight, fight, fight for Carolina
As Davie did in days of old
As we rally round the Well
Cheer that Tarheel team like Hell
For the glory of NCU

Sorry, you've got the wrong coach for the job... take it from me.

Yeah, they said that about Dean Smith, too when he had that awe-inspiring winning percentage and no titles.

I'm sure Bill Self's 0 national titles are irrelevant though. Illinois isn't chopped liver, you know.

Its all about the Hawkeyes this year. If Alford doesn't fuck this team up they have a shot at the NC this year, and will be a top 5 team next year. Of course we havn't had our requisite two players quit the team for problems with the coach yet, and the two other players who are kicked off for diciplinary problems. umm... never mind, we don't have a chance.

LETS GO HEELS! Marquette is my #2 pick. They will be decent. Diener in his senior year. Mason in his Sophmore year. and Novak in his Junior year. They are set.

Carolinas got a great chance this year, but Duke's got jack-shit left on their team. Illinois has great experience and depth, and Kansas has alot coming back. But who the hell does Duke have?

I hate DOOK. HATE them. But sleeping on them is a mistake.

They bring back their real best player, Shelden Williams. They bring back the wildly overrated, but still solid JJ Redick. Shavlik Randolph improved greatly last year. Daniel Ewing is a real nice player. They're still king of the hill in the ACC for the time being, someone needs to take that from them before they're dismissed. That attitude reminds me a lot of the Braves of this season. Don't throw dirt on 'em yet.

I respectfully disagree. No Deng, no scorers; no Duhon, no poise. They will be good, but only 'cause they are Duke. If Carolina finishes behind them this year, I will be disapointed as a Chapel Hillian. However, I think Illinois is as good as any team in the country this year.

Please don't make me defend Dook again. I just finished vomiting from the first time. They have scorers though...Williams, Redick, Ewing are all proven scorers. I expect them to get more from Shav this year. They still defend well.

I don't think they'll win it all. I do think they'll be near the top of the ACC

Looks like everyone is just throwing out their favorite team, so I'll join in.

UK has reloaded. Don't sleep on 'em!

Maryland's loaded with sophomore and junior talent, they're gonna be contending for the next 2 to 3 years.

UWM won't stand a chance against real teams.

Look what Madison did to them the other day.

Since this seems to be a "my favorite team is.........." thread, I gotta go with the Badgers. Always dangerous in the tourney.

I -L-L-I-N-I!

They have a very very good team in both defense and offense. They pass the ball well and more importantly they play as a team and not a bunch of individuals. They are overlooked because of the Big Tens lack of strength (ILL,Wis and Mich State being the exception. Another aspect is their bench comes in and scores points and gives quality minutes. A great thing to have if the starters get in foul trouble.

I'd say it have to be either Georgia Tech or Wake Forest. They both jump right out at you with their athletism. North Carolina is close, but there's just something about them that doesn't quite do it for me. Maybe that their earlier teams were just too good so I'm overlooking them now.

Just pointing out my foresight on Illinois, and my idiocy concerning Dook. I just frickin' hate them so bad, goddamn undefeated shit, and spectacular undefeated Illinois. Lewis32 had it right with Dook, he said don't sleep on 'em.

Don't let them catch you spelling it that way - I was told that was "disrespectful".

Yeah, don't sleep on 'em, but don't make them out for more then they are either. They've played no one and their ACC schedule gets unbelievably difficult next week. IMO, they'll have 6 losses by NCAA Tourney Time. We'll see though.
