I'll root for whoever beat Duke this year. I have a certain affinity for such teams.

Syracuse presents a horrible match up problem for Vermont, although Coppenwrath will make it a decent game. MSU and Cuse didn't play this year, but check the results of the 2 previous years.

2 or 3 years ago Maryland leveled UNC by about 50. I wish that had some sort of a bearin now.

Well the players are still similar, and the Big East is a better conference. Just wait and see is all I can say.

No, it's not. There is not one shred of evidence that the Big East is better than the ACC. The RPI says Maryland is better. Some people say the RPI doesn't matter. However, the Big East wishes they had a statistic that doesn't matter that says they are better than the ACC.

I was talking about Syracuse and MSU, Big East and Big Ten.
But since you brought up ACC vs. Big East, ACC is more top heavy, Big East is deeper, I think both are about equal this year.

I'm not sure if anyone watched, but on the ESPN show, Bilas said he gave the edge to Syracuse over Duke in the sweet 16. That surprised me coming from a former Blue Devil. Vitale disagreed and thought MSU would beat Syracuse. Its obvious why Vitale said that, he would much rather have MSU play his beloved Duke. Vitale doesn't want Syracuse anywhere neat Duke.

bilas picks against duke all the time, just this weekend he picked ncstate and gt over duke, he tries so hard not to show favoritism, so dont look to much into bilas picking cuse over duke

I think they have a good shot of winning it all. The only game that I think will be a problem is N.C. If they get past that game, they will be the Champions.

Call me crazy, but I think UConn can beat UNC. Conn didn't have their leading scorer in Anderson when they lost to UNC and it was still a close game. UConn has also been a more consistent team. Either way, UConn and UNC are by far Cuse's toughest matchups.

I don't see how UConn would be the more consistent team. UNC had that loss to Santa Clara to start the season, but after that only fell to WF, Duke, and GT. They've also shown the ability to comeback late in games.

I guess inconsistent is the wrong word, but they seem erratic. I don't know, but with that talent, they shouldn't lose. Maybe its that they don't play up to their ultimate potential, because if they did they should blow teams like Duke out of the water.
