Some of these conference don't deserve automatic bids. Like the one that's on ESPN right now. The teams are averageing about a field goal a minute...combined.

This is exactly why it's worth it. Gives these teams something to play for each year no matter what. It's great.

Still, looking at the major conference, there's a lot of mediocre teams that will be in the tournament.

No...it's not. They have about a 1 in 100 chance of winning their first game. It keeps teams that could win a game or two out of the tournament and fucks up their recruting for years.

Delaware must suck at basketball, you really just have no idea.

I don't see why the two are related.

On a side note, I've never been to a Delaware basketball game and don't ever plan on going.

If they were any good, I think you would see it in a different light. Expecially if they had one game, one game to win to go to the tournament.

They made it to the semi-finals of their tournament this year and lost to a team with a top 35 RPI. Last year, I think they were in the finals. Of course, I was still in high school and didn't give a damn.

Bottom line is, these Oakland bitches will get smoked in the play in game.

They weren't, I was there.

And Commonwealth isn't in the top 50 RPI.

We've got the first of 2 possibilities for UNC's first round game, should they win the ACC Tournament.

***NOTE - I fully agree with Illinois' #1 ranking in the polls and status as the favorite in the Big Dance...I just happen to think that the committee will penalize them for their schedule***

I thought they lost to ODU.
