Obvious rule - No trading of picks
Not so obvious rule - No making consecutive selections. You must wait until at least one person has picked before making your selection

Why is Heath Miller not drafted yet? If he is still there at this pick then the Eagles will take him and laugh while all other GM's are fired.

The Eagles won't take a running back in round 1 unless it's a can't miss all star, who falls 20 positions past where he should be taken. They don't emphasize that position at all. Same goes for linebacker. Stop acting like you know more about the Eagles' needs and front office than I, or any othere Eagles fan does.

That wouldn't be as terrible a pick as I made it out to be. However, there will be a logjam at guard next year for the Eagles with all the young players coming off injuries that they have. If Reid was willing to give him a year and have him replace Andrews, then this pick isn't impossible.

Titans on the clock, eh?

#37 - Justin Tuck, DE - Notre Dame

They need everything, especially on defense. I really think Brandon Browner is a good pick here, but the Titans might not want to go back-to-back at the same position after taking Rolle in the first round. And Canty just went to the Bucs, who would have been a nice pickup. So the next most obvious choice is Tuck, who will offset the loss of Kevin Carter (and potential RFA loss of Carlos Hall).

With the 39th pick the Chicago Bears select Terrence Murphy WR Texas A&M

In the absence of Marty Booker and release of David Terrell, the Bears need a deep threat very badly. Terrence Murphy is a fantastic overall athlete, who happens to play wide receiver. He’s not the fastest guy on the stopwatch, but on the field, he’s a real deep threat. He runs great routes and defenders have to respect that, because he’s able to get downfield with his double moves.

There's more on Murphy here:

the Lions could use a WR more than the Bears in the 2nd rd...Rogers cant ever stay healthy, Williams was a stud last yr, Az Hakim(better on special teams--pending he can hold on to the ball)....this is just My Opinion thats all

Timmy Chang doesn't seem to fit the Cowboy mold of Qb. Unless he's past his prime and immobile. Also acceptable, he was a former minor league baseball prospect.

LMFAO...Dude give it up! He was taken at #28 by the Chargers.

News Flash!

Lions freed after being held hostage by a delusional Seattle fan on an acid-trip. Reports have it that he kept ranting something about the Lions needing a Wr. Unfortunetly for the Lions, they missed out on OT Adam Terry out of Syracuse. So...

With the 41st pick the Lions choose S Brodney Pool Oklahoma.

Pool playing at FS gives Detroit a very formidable secondary with two very good Cb's in Bly and Bryant and the hard hitting SS Kenoy Kenedy the Lions pickup in FA market. Lets not forget, Detroit picked up DE Spears in the first round. I may be a little biased, but, with what Detroit has done in the draft and FA they could have a playoff caliber defense.

Noooo! the navyman screwed everything up. First he picked for the bears, but someone beat him to it. He realized someone beat him to that pick, so in the next post he gave the same guy to NO. Then he decided to make the lions pick too and he picked Wr Chris Henry, but he was already drafted. I am cool with everything, but if SULLY wants to go back I'm cool with that to.

Actually, I'm less ticked about the Chris Henry mixup than I am about the fact that a Lions fan DIDN'T make the selection.

Whenever possible, effort should be made for someone from the core boards - Vikes, Bears, Pack, Lions, Eagles, and a few others - to make the pick for their own team. It's only fair (plus you'll get a better pick, usually).

Frinst: Even if Chris Henry WERE on the board, there's no way the Lions would draft yet another WR that high. Wouldn't happen in any mock, and shouldn't have happened here.

Now, Ghostrider made the correction, so that's all good. And Pool makes all sorts of sense.

A weak set of ILB's this year but Odell's got a average size at 6'1 but ran a 4.62 in the 40 at the combine. THe Giants were deliberating between Thurman and McCune. Chose Thurman because of his age.....21 compared to McCune at 26.

while you /superpack try to figure out who you're taking for the #51 pick..................

the Jacksonville Jaguars select at #52....OG Chris Kemoeatu/6-4/335/Utah

Jacksonville is thin at OG position..this would put depth at the line, plus with Kemoeatu blocking...will protect Leftwich and give some nice holes for Taylor to run through....

With the 55th selection (and their first pick in this year's draft), the Buffalo Bills do much to upgrade their offensive line by selecting Michael Munoz OT from Tennessee. At 6'6" and 316 this guy will do a lot to keep the Bills shiney new QB LP Losman in tact until he can learn what the heck being a QB in the NFL is all about.

and with the #56 pick...the Denver Broncos select...... Craphonso Thrope/WR/6-2,195/Florida State.....

they need a WR badly....Rod is on his last legs, and Leilie is an up-coming wideout

With the 57th pick, the NY Jets select Demarcus Ware DE from Troy. Although he projects as an OLB in the NFL, the Jets think he may be able help them in the DE area until he can make the transition to OLB. Meanwhile his tenacity will help keep the Jets pass-rush.

with the 58th pick the Packers pick QB Charlie Frye.

even tho the Packers have bigger needs on defense and OG thinking long term here for the Packers and Frye is to good to pass up.

man what in the hell was he thinking in the 1st rd (a CB????)--Jason David was a stud last yr for the Colts!!!!(and he's only 5-9)..Offensive Line should've been primary address for the 1st rd...but, since it is the 2nd...with the #60th pick---Indianapolis Colts select::::::::::::::::::::

6-6/320 OG Mark LeVoir/ Notre Dame

figures they would draft someone close to home...Guard position is drastically thin!!!

With the 62nd selection the Steelers select Odell Thurman ILB Georgia. Depth at LB comes into play for the Steelers, arguably in the middle more than outside with Kendrell Bell's future in doubt. Odell is the best ILB remaining on the board and rated as the top 2nd round ILB on many boards. The Steelers are well pleased that he slipped this far.
