I wouldn't want to deal Pujols, but this seems like a good deal. What I'd probably do is announce to everyone that he's on the block and you'd be amazed at the offers you got.

The other question I would ask is how badly is this going to hamper your offense if you deal him?

Very good point, 'nut. Who do you have that will fill in for Pujols? Does your offense depend upon him or do you have other pieces that will make him expendable?

Like 'nut said, float him out there... I'm sure you'll find a better offer.

I think this is a pretty solid deal. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm real high on Peavy. If this is a keeper league, then you would be set for at least a decade with him. Plus Gagne and Schmidt? Unless Pujols is the only guy on your team who can mash (which I doubt), I would do this trade.

Yes 3 good pitchers to be sure, but without knowing the rest of this guy's team it's hard to make a fair judgement.

If you're creating a huge hole and filling another, are you really making your team any better?

Yea, I still have Durham. Hopefully I can make a package deal and get Marcus eventually.

RP- Lidge I need one more closer. I can hopefully make a deal before the season starts


Now if you ask me the deal he's talking about is a good one, but given his team I don't think it's a good idea to go get 3 pitchers for Pujols.

Maybe if he could get one or two pitchers, but still get some offense back at 1st, 3rd, or in the OF.

Yeah, he would need to get a bat in return. He actually needs a lot and would be better using Pujols to get a dependable catcher, second baseman, third baseman, and another outfielder. I would say those are bigger concerns than another reliever.

Agreed. Especially since you can always get some closers as the year goes on. They won't be Gagne, but I don't think giving up Pujols is a good thing.

He has a pretty weak offense as it is.

Rich Harden and Chad Cordero for Radke and Clement. What are your takes on this one?This would give me a good starter in Harden and fill my closer role. I would be giving up two 15 game winners in my opinion.

I think the only hole in my offense is 3B. Mauer is supposed to be a stud. Boone should bounce back. Furcal will be an all-star. My outfield isn't too bad. This is all simply my opinion.

I wouldn't do that deal at all.

I really like Harden, but Cordero is anything from a sure thing at closer and he's on a pretty weak ballclub.

Radke and Clement are both solid pitchers on winning teams.

I'd pass, but getting Harden in another deal is always a bonus. He's going to be a stud. And real soon.
