The only real holes I see are in sb's and saves. Sb's you just need more of; saves could become a problem if Dotel loses his job to Hutson Street (Oaklands closer in waiting).

I'm sure that Street is still avaialble as an FA in most leagues.
Speaking of Street, no more than 6 months ago I saw him at a Kane County Cougars game (low-A for the A's) and now he is just about in the bigs. That's pretty quick, but he did go to UT, after all.

I just picked up Abreu in my keeper league.
I'm hoping for a typical Abreu year if not more.

Heres to a huge return to form by Wags and a classical year from Jeets.....

Clearly I could do the deals I did b/c I had the depth to do so, but that's not to say I didn't give up talent.
Here are the two deals that went down including draft picks:
I got Abreu and a 7th rounder (we keep 5 so this is the second round of non keepers)
I gave up Jeter, Wagner, and an 8th rounder
I got Pujols and a 7th
I gave up M. Cabrera, Blalock, Nathan, and a 10th.
I still have V. Martinez, Pujols, Soriano, Abreu, Oswalt, Bay, Morneau, Beckett, and Dotel (among others.)
I also moved up in both deals a little bit.

I think you got OWNED in the 2nd one though. Blalock and Cabrera are both studs who can match Pujols HR power (or at least be close) and contribute across the board except in SB. Plus you gave a very good closer in Nathan. Yuck for you man. Thats just IMO.

Apparently you guys missed the point.....I think.
It's a keeper league.
We can only keep 5 guys.
I had about 12-15 that were legit keepers.
For that I went and got the number 1 fantasy player in the league AND moved up 3 rounds in the draft.
I couldn't keep all the guys I have anyways.
Cabrera can easily be replaced since he plays in the OF.
Blalock won't be so easy.
Nathan had a great year last year, but that is it. And if he falters, Crain will be on his ass for his job.
I agree that Cabrera and Blalock can both be studs, but you have to give something up for the number 1 guy.
I still have the best collection of 5 keepers in my league even after those two deals, and now I'll have 4 picks in the first two rounds after our keepers.
So I am setup in a good position in my mind.
But I can understand where you're coming from.
I wouldn't have done the deal had I not had the depth I did, and the fact that I can only keep 5 anyways.
So really I ended up dealing a few guys that I wouldn't have been able to keep anyways.
In the Pujols deal he wanted Soriano and Blalock, and I balked b/c Soriano fills a need at a weak position.
I really like both Blalock and Cabrera, but 3B is a very deep position and so is the OF.
That is why I chose to do it.
Plus most teams probably would've kept a stud 1B, and I would've been stuck with a weak hitting 1B.
I think I can get a better 3B than I could've gotten a 1B.
Anyways, thanks for the opinions guys.

If this is a keeper league.....
I think the first trade was fair. I mean whichever two owners put that together...brilliant. It benefits both teams. Let me explain.
Let's just say for the sake of argument the team that dealt Abreu had Baez and Urbina as closer material. Wags gives team A a solid closer which in turn gives said team A the luxery of not picking a closer high in the draft. Jeets should put up Abreu run numbers...maybe more, about the same in doubles, minus 10-15 SB, average possibly a wash, 10-15 less HR, he'll give away some in Slg & Ops. Sounds a little "icky" at this point but what if team A has, again for the sake of argument, Valentine at SS. Well I would consider it a fair trade then.
Props to you Sportznut and to whoever that other retard owner was.
