I just did a quick autodraft team, I didnt really prerank my players i just wanted at team so i could get started.
C- Lo Duca
1B- S. Casey
2B- M. Giles
3B- D. Wright
SS- J. Valentin
OF- C. Beltran
OF- Ichiro
OF-M. Cabrera
Utility- J. Edmonds
Bench: J. Lane, M.Sweeny, R. Baldelli
Pitchers
Harden, J wright, K-Rod, F. Cordero,J. Weaver, Mesa, W. Miller, J. Marquis, D. Graves.
Im tryin to deal from my closer strenght to pick up a better SS and another quality starter. Im pretty happy with the team, for an auto draft its not that bad. What do you guys think?

Not all that bad, but your starting pitching is really thin, Valentin isn't a very good SS, and you have very little depth in the hitting department with the injury prone Sweeney, and Baldelli is out at least two months.

You should see if someone like Crosby is still sitting out there.
And if you have DL slots, put Baldelli there ASAP, or cut him.

Crosby was good for me last year, and I picked him up in the last round of the draft
Sportz, what do you think about Jason Bay?

Jason Bay is a good player.
Many have compared him to Brian Giles.
I think he's going to be solid.

Whats the highest round you would draft him in?

I don't have a clue right now to be honest. I'd have to see where he's normally being picked, and if I really wanted him I'd grab him a round or two earlier.
It really just depends.
He's a great keeper type to be sure.

It looks like he's going from the 8th to 10th round typically.
It really depends on what style league you're in too.
Boik14 is the shiz

Whats the highest round you would draft him in?The thing with Bay is that while CBS Sportsline projects him for 30-100 in their fantasy projections (which you can access if you do their pay leagues) no one knows of him cause he plays in Pitt. So id say rd 10 or so is the earliest Id take him.

I agree with Boik especially considering the depth at OF.
He could be a solid sleeper pick in the 10th or beyond.

Thanks for the advice Boik and sportz
Burrell is another sleeper that I have, he could have a HUGE year. I'll select him around the 11th or 12th RD

Burrell scares me with his injury and all or nothing ways.
I'm going to steer clear of him this year I think.
He's burned me in the past.

Pat said that his wrist is fine, but it's up to you whether you trust him or not
I just think that this year, and working with Thompson so much, he will return to great form

Well this might be the year to find out if Pat's season a couple years ago will ever happen again or if it was the best you'll ever see from him.
With so many OFers out there, I can't see picking him unless I find him sitting there when I'm more than half way through the draft. Then maybe I'd take a chance on him.
Afterall I'm in two leagues as we speak. One is 12 teams and 25 rounds. The other is 16 teams.
Either way you get to a point where you have no choice but to take risks. The question is when do you want to risk picking a solid, but unspectacular player vs a guy who's put up huge numbers in the past, but not recently for whatever reason.
Every year someone picks Juan Gonzalez just praying he'll be the guy he used to be. I don't see it happening.
