I've always wondered why a team didn't sign him as a developmental player - bring him in, get him back to a decent level of performance, and trade him away (or use him). You can't tell me that he doesn't have more potential than half the guys the Bears used this year, and he never seemed to have the Ryan Leaf/Jeff George personality issues.
