I'm sure everyone in the US saw it on ESPN where the quickly mentioned how the seaon was cancelled this year and the Red Sox won the WS. And the last time the Red Sox won the WS the seaon was also cancelled due to the influenza in 1918. Thus the Red Sox curse.
Well TSN here in Canada did a much longer segment where they took staged clips of TSN Sportscenter anchors asking questions that they then pieced together with answers from BoSox players right after they won the WS. It was pretty funny actually. For example they'd show an SC anchor asking the question "are you happy with the curse that you've put on the NHL?" Then they'd cut to a clip of like Manny Ramirez saying something like "yes, yes and we hope to do it again next year!!!!!!!".
The funniest was when they had ex Expo Orlando Cabrera doing an interview (in spanish) on the field right after the WS ended and they had closed captioning in english saying "When I was in Montreal, nobody cared about us! It was all about the Montreal Canadiens! It was all hockey, hockey, hockey!!!!! Look at me now puckheads!!! Look at me now!!!! Hi Mom".
They also had included cut and pasted clip with Bettman, Goodenow, Mike Timlin and a few other Sox players.
You had to see it guess to find it funny. As pissed as I am about the season being cancelled even I had to laugh at it.
