No more fighting
Smaller goalie equipment
No fouling pick carrier
No ties
Eliminate all line fouls
What kind of gay hockey would this be? I don't know why this douche is even allowed to talk about sports.

I actually like this idea.

hey, why don't we just let guys skate up to the net and fire it in unabated? Then, the guys that skate the fastest would have the advantage. How 'bout they just do faceoffs, and the team that wins the best of 7 faceoffs wins the game.

I don't mind the ties. I'd like to see them use the bigger rink (Olympic sized) because that will cut down on the trap and some other defensive shit - it'll let the top tier skaters move around better.
The smaller goalie gear isn't a bad idea, but it's hardly original.
No fighting? I'd only agree to that if Skip concurrently committed suicide.

"I think we should go with four on four in overtime, and if its still tied after 4 minutes, go to 3 on 3, then 2 on 2, then one on one" Woody Paige...
Hey Woody, where do we go from there? Talk about boring...one on one hockey...

It's already 4 on 4 in overtime.

It's funny because they back nothing they say up with facts or relevant information. It's hard to find facts or relevant information to support any of the garbage that they say, though.

You can tell he clearly doesn't watch Hockey at all.
He sounds like one of those people that turns on Hockey and asks questions about why there are penalties happening and shit.
Dom's right. Skip really should kill himself.

I love it when people that don't watch the game feel free to make their suggested "improvements"...
How about this Skip and Woody, understand the game before you go ahead and suggest changes...

I assume the Skip that we're talking about is Skip Bayless.
The no fighting idea is a classic sign of somebody who has no idea about hockey. I'd really like to hear his logic on why this should be eliminated from the game. I'll assume he thinks that its too violent. First of all Skip, fighting isn't all about violence. Its about firing up your team and sending a message to the other team. Players are more likely to be injured by high sticks etc then fights.
Smaller goalie equiptment is needed. Brilliant idea Skip.
Yes, obstruction calls are needed. The NHL has tried this in the past only to cave in and quit calling obstruction calls due to the large quantity. They should learn from the NFL this season and their new rules to increase offense. Make the rules, enforce them, STICK WITH THEM! Don't quit partway thru the season. (reminds me how the NHL disallowed goals all year if you were in the crease only to have Brett Hull score the gw Stanley Cup goal in OT against the Sabres to win the Cup with his skate in the crease).
Ties. I'm not a fan of ties, but playing such a physical game 3-4 times a week they can't play sudden death till someone wins a reg. season game to avoid ties. I'm not a fan of shootouts to determine a game so I'm happy with just 5 minutes of sudden death. A shootout is like a dunk contest to determine a NBA game. Stupid, IMO.
I'm a purist and a traditionalist, but the one drastic rule that I can see helping would be to take out the red line. That would open the game up. Not all line calls, keep the blue lines in. Larger ice surfaces aren't needed and aren't possible in NHL rinks.
