NFL | Draft Changing Locations - from www.KFFL.com

According to TSN.ca, the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/159">NFL Draft will no longer be held at Madison Square Garden, as a result of a dispute between the league and Cablevision, which owns the building, and opposes the construction of a stadium for the New York Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) on the west side of Manhattan. The issue of where the 2005 draft will be held is expected to be resolved within the next few weeks. The event has been held in New York City since 1965 - first at the Marriott Marquis, and then at Madison Square Garden, which has served as the draft site for the last 10 years. Philadelphia, which hosted the first draft in 1936, is one of the locations under consideration.

Theres a number of articles on this in the NY press. Its still very likely to stay in NYC with Philly and Boston being longshots. The Javits Center (coincidentally right across from where the NYJ new stadium would be) is the most likely alternative because of the larger auditorium than the Marriot (which was the reason it was moved to MSG in the 1st place). I havent heard of it being anywhere other than the northeast because of logistics. I've been following it pretty closely cause I planned on going for the 2nd straight year.

as sully suggested the NFL should rotate it to every NFL city. It will take 32 years but at least every team will get to host it and different fans will get to attend instead of watching the annoying NY Jets fans and there annoying chants.

They should have it be in the city the Super Bowl is in that year, so as to build hype and excitement for the next year.

Either that or last year just seemed to be very evenly dispersed in terms of fan representation.

I also thought of that as well. However after they move MN to LA we would be screwed here in MN. It should go from oldest to youngest NLF cities.
