Feb. 10 - Looking to add another veteran arm to the bullpen, the Diamondbacks could sign right-hander Juan Acevedo to a minor-league deal by week's end, The Arizona Republic reports.
According to the newspaper, a recent scouting report had the 34-year-old Acevedo throwing in the 94 mph range with full command of four pitches. In 2003, his last major-league season, Acevedo went 1-5 with a 6.57 ERA for the Yankees and Blue Jays.
