Do you guys like to have a better offense or a better pitching staff? I personally like pitching, it can sometimes carry you through the whole season.

good strategy. On offense you gotta look for that extra value in guys that play multipule positions. That can be key sometimes when you gotta shuffle the lineup around.

Sorry I can't divulge my strategy on here as some might be lurking around.

I tend to go with offense and closers for the simple reason that good closers are usually steals in H2H leagues. With 2 good closers and a good offense you can build a very good team. For Ex. say its a 5x5 league w/HRs, BA, RBI, RS, SB's, W's, K's, Svs, ERA, Whip. If you can get 3 big bats and 1 high K/low Era and whip (I.E. Wood, prior etc) starter early you can fill out the rest of your roster fairly easily. Take closers with the next 2 picks, they should be there this late in H2H and youve set yourself up beautifully. Fill out your offense in the mid rds and later you can usually find pitchers that people look past like Brian Lawrence, and Livan Hernandez types who can typically win some stats for you in H2H though not in roto.
As for starters I usually try and find a few breakthrough prospects who are pitchers in their 2nd year off TJ surgery or in just young prospect in general. AJ Burnett is the guy Im looking at this year to be there around rd 10 or so and be an ace. As far as young pitchers. look at guys like scott kazmir and Horacio Ramirez. Both have stud upside.
