Look for future Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith to announce today his retirement from the Cardinals to join Reggie Fowler's investment group that is trying to buy the Vikings.

Smith may -- either this off-season or next -- sign some sort of ceremonial one-day deal with Dallas so he can retire as a Cowboy. The NFL's all-time leading rusher said he feels he has enough to offer a team looking for a veteran running back. "There's always a chance," Smith said. "Somebody has got to want me, and if they don't want me, then what? I want to play. I want to do what I want to do."
