I think there are too many questions about Denvers O and KC's D to actually get a feel for this game. The unknowns will be partly answered tonight. I know I have concerns about Denver's O, primarily Jake and the WR's. Watts has had a very good preseason, but tonights for real. I do believe that it takes more than getting a very good D coord to turn around a defense that was awful last year. They should have made some additions because although any Denver fan would agree with how bad GR was, our defense was not bad when he was the D coord.

I think the one thing everyone is focused on is the KC O which is why so many are picking KC to win this game. Everyone seems to have forgotten about the Denver D and what they did to the KC O last year and the Denver's D has only improved. Holding Priest to 44 yards rushing, 77 combined yards should not be overlooked. Yes Green got the job done last year with no name receivers, but even some of those receivers are hurt this year. I personally am enjoyed the disrespect Denver is getting.

Both clubs offensively just need to score, iam putting this game in the hands of the best defence.(field goals or touchdowns i dont care just put the points on the board)A i wouldnt be suprised to to see the broncos D put some points up.

GO BRONX!

I think KC tries to go big early to get denver back on their heels a bit. Any thoughts?

I agree. I'm sure they'll want to test Champ out right away.

So far you're correct. Denver just needs to answer and get down by more than a td. KC look slike it could eat clock tonight.

KC's in trouble. If they can't stop anybody, they're not going to win many games. Same as last year, so far.

Chiefs started out strong then sputtered.

Wow. When have you ever seen that? They blew the call and are doing a redo!!!

Is that legal? Is there a precedent for such a thing. Officials error happen all the time. Can they even to this?

WTF is wrong with the REFS can't they get it right?

This is bordering on the surreal.

I wonder if Shannahan is going to stuff that picture in Bernie Kukar's shirt like Cowher did a couple of years ago.

Turn the channel, everybody.

Blowhard Berman is on the TV.

Where is my remote? Need the mute button before I jab an icepick in my ears.

Oh c'mon now, Berman is not that bad, I actually quite enjoy him.
champ really had done well tonite, using both sides of the ball. Not surprised by KC's defense they are marinally bteter so far then last year.
That int by (forgot his name), where Plummer just launhed the ball and he tipped it and cauht it. That was a very nice play.

Gotta disagree. His schtick is so . . . fu#$ing . . . old . . .that . . . it . . .makes . . . me . . . want . . . to . . . do . . . just . . .what . . . I . . . said (imitating Berman's could go all the way).

Big third quarter for the Chiefs, came out smoking.

chris berman's routine was humourous for the first TEN YEARS or so. after 1990 i think he should have retired the old and got some new material. now he's just a caracature of himself. like he's 'doing' himself. i'd (almost) rather listen to madden.

Humm... Would you take Stuart Scott over Chris Berman?

rotary
09-12-2004, 10:34 PM
Is neither a choice? Can't stand Scott's schtick, either!!

Tries way too hard tryin' to keep it real, yo!!! Yeah, right, like he right outta Compton. What a phony!!!!!!

AND, that eye!!! He should just wear an eyepatch!!! The eye is damn near closed, anyways.

I tell you who I do miss doing SportsCenter, Charley Steiner. NOW, he was funny.

Yea we have a guy here up north who is a very good sports reporter and funny as hell. Good ol' Jay Onrait....hopefully we don't loose him to the south as well.

Here's a choice I hope I never have to have for sportscaster I must listen to:

Chris Berman, Stuart Scott, or Stephen A. Smith

*Shudders, followed by vomiting*

Don't think you ever have to worry bout Stephen A. Smith doin' a SportCenter, Sully. But he is annoying.

Did you hear that ESPN is going to be doing another show a la' PTI, but with . . . crap I forgot their names Woody Something from Denver (he's on Around the Horn, alot) and the guy who writes for the San Jose Mercury News. Covered the Cowboys in the 90's . . . what was his name?

Humm... Would you take Stuart Scott over Chris Berman?no i don't want some pathetic wannabe homie OR chris berman. is that the best choices we have? with 200 tv stations and every one of them having at least one sports guy, there must be some actual entertaining talent out there.

berman's been doing the 'could-go -all-the-way thing so long that people don't even seem to remember that that 'schtick' is an impression of howard cosell and his 'the raidahhhs' line is his (bad) impression of John Facenda, the very epitome of nfl verbage.

the only thing berman had that was funny was the nick names and he doesn't even do that anymore. go figure. he STOPPED doing the ONE THING that made him unique.

stuart scott is annoying and creepy.

i like dan patrick and rich eisen but all i ever see is booyah doosh.

SKIP BAYLESS!!!! That's the name!! Him and that Woody guy from Denver. More original ESPN programming!!!!

How much yelling do you think will be on that show!?!?!!?

Why would so many people pick the Chiefs to win? I don't know Gunnsthequeen, maybe you should think about it.

1. KC hasn't lost at Arrowhead in December in sixteen games.

2. Denver has the same team as last year. Where have they improved?

3. Denver certainly knows the "no-name receivers." Champ Bailey could read Kennison on the back of Eddie's jersey all game. Sammie Parker is a starter with more speed than Lelie.

4. Champ's big mouth and Kubiak's reverse calls in the fourth quarter of week three's game only provides bullitin board material.

5. Jake Plummer is not patient enough to stay back and quit acting like a ridilin-addicted monkey.
