Tadahito Iguchi
INTERESTED - White Sox
Jan. 19 - The White Sox's pursuit of Japanese All-Star second baseman Tadahito Iguchi remains ongoing, MLB.com reports. The next step could be up to Iguchi and his agent, Richard Moss. "I'm not spending very much time on it right now," said GM Ken Williams. "That's not to say ultimately that's one of the things we end up doing."
Iguchi reportedly is seeking around $21 million for three years. His deal with the Fukuoka Hawks pays him 240 million yen a year, about $2.3 million, so it's unlikely he would leave Japan for less than that.
