Unbelievable game from Wake. 32-32 from the line. Huge contribution from Downey. Chris Paul is a superstar. However, if these teams meet come March, i think UNC will pull it out for a few reasons. McCants looked poised to have a huge game, but got in foul trouble early (including a STUPID foul for #4). If he stays out of foul trouble, that changes the game immensely if they meet again. Secondly, this team wont go 32-32 from the line again, thats one of the most amazing team performances ive seen from a team in a long while. Third, the crowd had a huge affect on this game, and since the game wont be a home game for Wake come March, they wont have that advantage.

Despite Maryland recent free throw troubles, they had a similar game the year before last, or the year before that.

Well, seeing as he just grazed the guy's shorts, I can't fault him for picking up the 4th foul there. Add to that the fact that he got a foul in the first half for allowing himself to be elbowed in the jaw by Strickland. And no, I'm not saying the refs cost us the game or anything. Just two bad calls that cost us.
I agree with Favre's assessment, I fully expect to see them in DC in 8 weeks.

Unbelieveable game from Wake and they showed with this game that they are the top of the ACC. Interesting Question for anyone who can answer it, UNC only plays Wake and GT once and everyone else in the ACC twice while Duke plays both of those teams twice?

We also don't play Miami or Va Tech twice. I do believe Dook plays Tech and Wake twice each.

I might sound totally dumb on this but this tells you how much I pay attention to the ACC besides UNC, Wake, Maryland, GT and Duke but did they split the ACC into like two divisions like for football does with the Big 12. I don't think so but what else could explain this besides the fact that the guy who did the scheduling made a mistake.

I would imagine they're going to when BC joins but they didn't yet because the ACC is at 11 teams this year.

Yeah, January isn't going to be awful for you guys but February is absolutely brutal.
After next week, it's Md./Wake/Tech/UNC/Md./automatic win/Wake/Tech/automatic win/UNC
That's a serious test.

Melchionni's developing into a nice player for you guys. Depth is still a concern, especially inside, but K never goes with deep rotations anyway. Shelden has to stay out of foul trouble.

yeah, he has done a great job of that this year, hasnt fouled out or even really come close to it, they do need to give him the ball more and make better entry passes
