Not for me...I'll be watching on the couch.
My posts would basically consist of one syllable curses anyway.

I think we'll find out who the real Carolina is tonight, if they're the real deal or not. I think they are. They quite possibly could be the best team in the country.

C'mon...just because Maryland can't tell the basket from a hole in their ass doesn't mean you should swear off college b-ball. I'm a Maryland fan first and foremost, but I love just watching ACC basketball too.

This week will tell us a lot. Tech at home, Wake on the road.
That said, we could lose both by 15 and still have time to put it together and play deep into the tournament.

Fortunately, that will still allow you to watch Maryland's contests.
sorry

I still think Maryland has time to put it together and make a run to at least the sweet 16 but that might just be the homer in me talking.
That being said, UNC has the talent to be in the championship game, the question is, will they play like it?

yeah, plenty of time. I'm just shocked at how AWFUL they've looked. These games are screaming for Gilchrist to take over, and he just isn't.
As for UNC...they've been playing that way up until this point. A great defensive team like Tech will be a wonerful test.

I agree with both points you made there. Gilchrist needs to prove he can be a leader and take control of this team.

Jroll that is indeed the homer in you talking. I too am a Maryland fan and I have to say they are struggling right now. They don't have a go to guy for scoring. I mean Gilchrist steps up from time to time and Caner-Medley scores against the weaker schools we play (Liberty, American), but fails to show up for ACC games.
UNC is very talented. I think they win big tonight over Tech.

Well do you want me to break it down for you?
Carolina wins big because they have too many weapons. Lets begin with the guard postion. Raymond Felton is perhaps the best in the ACC. He distibutes the ball and is a capable scorer as well. Then you move onto McCants. He is a threat inside as well as out. He is a matchup problem for any team due to his speed and strength. Finally I would like to touch on Sean May. This guy is a space eater and very strong. He is a decent enough scorer but is really strong when it comes to rebounds, both offensive and defensive. With all this being sad, again I like Carolina to win big tonight. As a matter of fact I expect to see them in the championship game come March.

We had to put up with Phila for a while...you can't be any worse than him. You should stay around, we've loosened up a lot. We can always use posters on this board.

While they have been a little careless, I would say the defensive pressure has something to do with that, too. This is the best defensive game Carolina's played this season. Still room for improvement.
I'm just so impressed that I can only remember 1 game this year where I was watching and I was more then mildly concerned with what the outcome was going to be early in the second half.

They have finally started to buy into Roy Williams system and that is if you play defense the offense will generate from that. It also doesn't hurt to have possibly the best player in the ACC (McCants) and maybe the most underrated PG in the ACC (Felton). The WF and the Duke games will tell alot but this is a promising sign!

should be interesting to see how they do away from the dome, probably well but they did struggle in two away games this year, santa clara and indiana

Yup, that's the 3rd test. Dismantled Va Tech on the road, but that's Va Tech.
I looked at this 3-game stretch as an excellent litmus test for the Heels. I said at the beginning I'd be cool with 2-1. I wanted to win the two home games and then play with house money at Wake. Dominated Maryland, smoked Tech...Saturday should be fun. I like our chances.

Probably not unless Santa Clara somehow makes the tourney and is in the same region as UNC.

Again, the fact that Felton was out for that game is an extremely lame excuse. Carolina should have been able to play their second five the entire game and still win comfortably.

True...but then again, 1 loss in college basketball means very little, not like college football.

It's very hard to go undefeated in college basketball and that loss will be forgotten when UNC goes far in the tourney.
Wait...what's wrong with me, I'm defending UNC.
