Diaz / Valent

If the mets trade Floyd and/or Cameron and are somehow left with an outfield opening, do you think Diaz and/or Valent could fill in and be quality starters? Or would it be another Benny Agbayani / Shinjo / Payton type of platoon? And if so, would it matter?
I think Diaz could be a decent player, but I would rather not risk having these two start. Nice bench players, but not starters, IMO.

Diaz is a 2x minor league batting champ. Im extremely high on him. With a nickname like Mini Manny he better be good.

Valent was oustanding as a starter and vs RHP's. Over time I think he could become a good player. If we traded cammy or floyd id be ok platooning these guys in the other corner OF spot and if we traded both id be ok giving these guys the opportunity to compete for the starting jobs with like a danny bautista type.

Valent hit 273 vs RHP and 100 vs LHP. I wont judge Diaz on 51 AB's but hes hit at every level. I know he'll hit in the bigs as well. Can probably say the same for Keppinger.
