That stinks, but also means that we still have that 6 mil to use toward this season:

Perez signed for a reasonable amount. It's a shame he went with the Dodgers for that kind of price.


As for Lowe, I'd stay away from him at $10 million per. He's not worth anywhere near that much and it remains to be seen if anybody is foolish enough to cough that up.

Millwood was verrrry close to signing with Cleveland, then had to undergo a physical. No announcement since. Hmmm...

Here's a guy that you Orioles-familiars might like: Jason Johnson of Detroit. Make the Tygs an offer: some serious bullpen help, or a 3B or CF. Maybe even a prospect with some punch for a corner OF spot in a year or so.
