Hi,
I am a Temple alum and fan of the BB squad. I really like the future of this team. Tyndale and Marshall look like they show some promise.

Can't say I'm a Temple fan or follow College Basketball, but what I do watch tends to be A-10. I only start paying attention as the tournament approaches to get a feel for teams.

Yes, and for those that don't know, Macon is on the staff now as Chaney's assistant coach, and does a nice job in working with the guards.

Lamont Barnes?
I remember Lamont. I think he is playing in Turkey now for the same team that Marc Jackson played for before heading to the NBA.

I remember Barnes trying to do a 360 on a fastbreak against Indiana one year and bricking it, Chaney going berserk on the sidelines, and the Owls subsequently losing in part because of Barnes costing his team two points.

Vic, now there is a name from the past. He was a pretty good point guard right before Pepe Sanchez. From Camden I believe.

From Morrisville, PA, right across the river from Trenton. One of the best three-point shooters in team history.

Seriously, I'm no Owls fan but I was pissed when Mark Karcher left school early for the NBA when he so obviously wasn't ready. That was just assenine. I'm sure Chaney blew a rod when he found out that decision.

I agree. Horrible decision. He did it strictly because he thought he could get fast money since he just had his second kid and was very poor. He should have known he wouldn't be drafted and wouldn't hook on to an NBA club. Last I heard, he was playing in Richmond, VA for a minor league club.
