No. 7 was Maryland-Duke from the ACC Tournament

It showed only 3 teams have ever beaten the top 3 seeds to win the ACC tourney. So Maryland became a part of history with that game. Such a great game it was too. :)

That game was fucking fantastic! I think the ACC opener between Wake and Carolina was outstanding on an individual basis as well, but obviously this one had WAAAAAAAY more on the line, thus better overall.

That was a thriller.

I agree. That was Gilchrist's best game since he's been at Maryland. I expect that sentence to be false at the end of this season though.

Personally, I've never rooted for Maryland harder, and I was pulling for them when they won it all.

And when the were bent over by the refs against Dook the year before.

Every team that played Duke that year was royally fucked by the officials.

I bitch about refs when I watch games, as I imagine most people do, but I have never believed conspiracy theories with the exception of two times - both not involving a team of mine.

One was a playoff game between the Knicks and Heat in the mid 90s. The other was that game. I was so pissed off about a game I had little rooting interest in that I refused to watch the final since I already felt it was a foregone conclusion. And I didn't. I was disgusted. I can't imagine how you guys felt.
