C'mon guys the Sox are like 25-5 in their last 30 or something flat out ridiculous like that and this forum has less posts than the Brewers board?!

Our boys took advantage of some controll issues last night to jump all over Tim Hudson for 7 ER in the 1st 3 innings. Going into last night Hudson was tied w/ Johan for the AL ERA lead and our guys showed unbelievable patience at the plate to draw 3 consecutive walks to start the game. The win puts the Sox just 2 games back of the Spanks, and coupled with the Angels loss gives them a 5 game lead for the wc.

From here on out the Sox play Seattle, TB, Baltimore, and 6 against the Spanks, and while the Spanks schedule isn't that much more difficult they do have a 3 game set against the Twins.

The Sox are playing some incredible ball, but i think my yankees will be able to hold them off. Either way both should be headed to the playoffs. Maybe we'll get another AL championship matchup.

Last nights double header sweep gave me a little relief. Yes it was against the D-rays, but the important part of the day was that Mussina had a good outting. Its been a while.

I know this may sound just wrong coming from a Sox fan but as of right now I hope the Yankees do win the division and we take the wc. As the standings are right now the division winner will get the Twins and the wc will get the A's. The Sox are 2-4 against the Twins this season and 8-1 against the A's. I'd rather let the Yanks play the Twinkies in the 1st round then worry about having to play either of them (preferably the Yanks, it would be sweeter to beat them ourselves) in the ALCS.

What if the A's get caught by the Angels? Change your opinion or the scenario?

No I still would rather face the Halos than the Twinkies. Sox are 5-4 against Anaheim (including last weeks sweep), and the Halos don't have Johan Santana pitching for them.

Very true, Santana is on fire. How longhas it been since he gave up an earned run? like 3 games already?

Sox are indeed doing great. Coming up with some great hitting to support the pitching. Haven't decided if I would like them to take the east or the wc. Yeah, Sox have beat A's but would like to see them take the Twins on again.

My boy Smug is an avid yanks fan, and makes good points. I however do love my Boston and Chicago teams. Boston is keeping up an impressive season. And this weeks three at home against the d-rays, should help pad the stats more. If Boston finishes where they are, with 3GB I'll be happy. Over the past three years Boston as a team has improved their batting. With team avgs of 266 267 289, I only hope the trend continues well into next season. go BoSox
