If Grossman can get up to speed quickly, not be asked to do too much too quickly, I see either 6-10 or 7-9. While your post seems to be relying on the defense, I have my doubts in some areas.

The injury to Azumah (?) hurt depth in an already shallow secondary. Pray that McQuarters can hold the fort and that Tillman can stay healthy. And while the trade for Ogunleye was a great move, the jury will be out now that he will not only be blocked by obviously one lineman but maybe chipped by a running back, as well. I think he benefitted greatly having Jason Taylor on the other end. But the need for somebody to generate a pass rush for the Bears has been paramount for, at least, 5 years.

By the way, how's Edinger doing in pre-season. Struggled some last year. Any carryover?

Are the Bears still expecting Azumah to be back this year? With an injury like that it would seem that you don't rush anything and maybe just call it a year and come back strong next year.

When you get "lucky" like that and find out how close you could have been to maybe a real serious situation, you'd think they'd err on the side of caution. But they are played to play, I guess.

How is the o-line look. Always liked Kreutz, play with a mean streak. Gibson starting at right tackle or is he still injured? And is Colombo ir'ed already or just on the PuP list? Pretty soon the Bear might have to think about drafting another left tackle.
