This is the first time in school history that the school has held the #1 ranking in consecutive weeks. The other times Illinois has been ranked #1 they lost a game in the preceeding week and dropped in the rankings.

This team has the potential to stay on top for the entire season. I dont want to jinx it but they play the best all around team ball I have seen in recent years.
