You certainly can. You can either choose one of the 120+ avatars I have provided, or make your own and upload it.

To upload a custom avatar, follow this path:

User CP -> Edit Avatar

From there, you should see an "Upload Custom Avatar" link. They can be 120 x 120 and 20k in size I believe.
