The Cubs lost.
How can that be? They have the best pitching staff in the universe, and also have Sammy Sosa!

Best record in baseball at 72-38, the Yankees are 71-39. 11.5 games up over the Cubs.
Unfortunately the Cubs have 2 game lead over the Padres in the wild card.

Personally, I love to see the Cubs lose any day of the week! However, I hope they pull out the Wild Card and meet us in the NLCS. Then when we kick their butts and go to the World Series I want to see what kind of excuses they use this year.
Bartman is used up.
The Billy Goat Curse is stupid.
What will they come up with next?
How about...damn...those Cardnilas are just plain good!

Hey all, good to see everyone at a new site; espn and stltoday got old reeeeeeeeaaaal quick. Yeah, I was thinking that the other day, I don't kno wwhich would be better for us to beat the cubs in the playoffs or for them to not even make it? I mean nothing would be nicer than beating the cubs in the NLCS, but how awesome would it be if they didn't even make it??:D

I'd rather see a replay of 1967.

That was the Redsox. In 1964 they beat the NY Yankees. :( Some kid named Gibson stared for the redbirds. I know I was there. Sitting with dad in the left center bleachers.

I know, that's why I said 1967. My second favorite team is the Red Sox, so you know that makes me a Yankee hater.

My second favorite team is the Cardinals. Always liked their uniforms, second to the NYY. Grandpa was a huge Stan the Man fan. But instilled Mickey into me. Redsox as your second fav. Gulp. Why would you want to play them in a WS.
Oh I get it, so you come out on the other side clean as a new born babys butt. LOL
