Have any of you guys checked the wires yet there seems to be some pretty productive players or good players with potential on that list that teams let go. I looked at it through Kffl.com if any of you were wondering. I dont have time to post who I think are possible pickups for the Lions right now but I will later if I get home before the 4pm deadline.

Kwamie Lassiter comes right to mind. He's 34, but he'd be a good short-term pickup now that Brian Walker is on IR.

Bryan Robinson from Chicago. Good DT who used to play DE earlier in his career.

Gildon gets mentioned, but he's not really a fit in this scheme. He needs to be a 3-4 linebacker.

LB Dominique Stevenson from Buffalo could be a decent depth pickup.

Dwayne Rudd? I saw mention of him on the mlive boards, but I think he's worthless. I'd pass.

I mentioned this guy awhile back - Nathaniel Adibi, a rookie out of Va Tech who's now been cut by the Steelers (he couldnt' make the transition to OLB) and Titans (dropped as a DE). He was very productive in college, but might be viewed as a tweener in the pros. I'd love to see the Lions get a guy like this for the practice squad.

Ike Charlton or Keyon Nash - safeties cut loose by the Raiders, who picked up Marques Anderson and have Stu Schweigert from the draft. I think both could handle a starting spot ahead of Bracey Walker.

Adrian Ross, Steelers - Solid linebacker for the Bengals for a few years, would be a veteran presence for our unit.
