John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports the New York Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) would likely acquire two of the five draft choices the Denver Broncos (http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl) currently possess between the fourth-and-sixth rounds of the NFL Draft (http://www.kffl.com/link/159) in what would essentially be a sign-and-trade deal for DL Dewayne Robertson (http://www.kffl.com/player/5942/nfl), according to several league sources. The Broncos (http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl) will need to sign Robertson to a new deal prior to the NFL Draft (http://www.kffl.com/link/159) in order to allow the trade to be completed. The Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) are currently without a fourth-round draft choice of their own, while the Broncos (http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl) have two picks in the fourth round, as well as two picks in the fifth round and one pick in the sixth round. The Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) currently have a total of just six picks in the NFL Draft (http://www.kffl.com/link/159), while the Broncos (http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl) own a total of nine draft choices. Trading Robertson would save the Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) roughly $8 million as he currently is scheduled to count $11 million against the team's salary cap.
