DL Smith signs tender

Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports Arizona Cardinals (http://www.kffl.com/team/6/nfl) DL Antonio D. Smith (http://www.kffl.com/player/9656/nfl) plans to sign his one-year tender offer Thursday, April 3. Smith was talking to the Cardinals (http://www.kffl.com/team/6/nfl) about the possibility of signing a multi-year deal, but negotiations failed. He will play 2008 for the tender of $2.018 million. Smith will become an unrestricted free agent in 2009, unless there is a new contract agreement during the 2008 season.
