4/3: Antonio Smith is disputing a report that he wants to be traded, according to the Arizona Republic (http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/KentSomers/20755). Smith will reportedly sign his one-year tender offer of $2.018 million later today. "I'm not really disappointed," Smith said. "I understand what's going on in free agency, with Fitz's deal (Larry Fitzgerald) and all. I'm optimistic that this is probably going to be the best option for me anyway." Unless there is a new contract agreement during season, which remains a possibility, Smith will become an unrestricted free agent in 2009.
