3/31: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said suspended Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman remains on a timetable of learning "prior to training camp" whether he will be re-instated from a two-year league suspension for violating its substance abuse policy, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer (http://frontier.cincinnati.com/blogs/bengals/2008/03/bengals-dont-get-prime-time-opener.asp). "I haven't gotten any update in a couple of weeks," Goodell said when asked about Thurman. "He is going through the (offseason strength) program. I am encouraged.” Thurman has reportedly been working hard, and keeping his nose clean. If he stays on the straight and narrow, it’s looking favorable for his suspension to be lifted in the next few months.
