Raiders agreed to terms with CB DeAngelo Hall on a seven-year, $70 million contract. The deal includes $24.5 million guaranteed.
Now pending league approval of the trade, Atlanta will get Oakland's second- and fifth-round draft choices. The sides were previously discussing a sixth in place of the fifth-rounder, but Al Davis wanted Hall bad and the Falcons got their upgrade. Hall isn't officially a Raider yet, but will be very shortly.

Fringe top 10. Doesn't deserve close to that amount of money.

Just think how much Al's gonna have to shell out to keep the actual lockdown guy across the field from Hall in silver and black.

Find DeAngelo Hall on any list (other than times thrown at most) last year.

ok and from that so called list they dont have asomugha of the raiders who everyone else says is a top 10 CB.

also I dont see D Hall on the worst yards per pass list

You also don't find him among the best yards per pass list, which has the top ten.

Asomugha likely wasn't targeted enough

the guys only 24 and in his 4 years in the league he has 230 tackles with 203 being solo tackles also he has 17 career interceptions....been to the probowl twice I believe.....the guy is a good DB and now with aso and the raiders secondary he will be even better....plus hes only getting 24 mill guranteed....once again great deal for the raiders

of course you all wont think this is a good deal for the simply fact that it was the raiders....nate clement I dont believe is the best DB in the league and hes the highest paid but people give the raiders shit for basically stealing Hall for a 2nd round pick and now having a great secondary

It definately helps the Raiders.

But like I said, it's gonna hurt like hell in the negotiations with Asomugha.

yea it could, but I still think they can get asomugha to a deal anywhere from samuels up to clements.

He's going to want more than both, and deservedly so.

I meant to say to clements or alittle higher.....he most likely will be the highest paid DB either with the raiders or without....but I think the raiders will lock him up when they get the chance to negotiate with him

They have that chance right now..they have the exclusive rights tag on him.

oh I heard from some place that they werent allowed to negotiate till the summer....weird.....well Hopefully they can do something before next season starts and ends....I wouldnt want him hitting the free agent market but we could always franchise him again. I wanna see him and Burgess locked up for a good while on that defense.

Damn, thats a lot of money for a CB, but congrats anyways. You guys got a great player there, and you got him for very reasonable compensation (as far as the draft picks you gave up).

Nice move for the Raiders.

Every year they slap that Exclusive Franchise tag on him, he gets paid the average of the top five players in the NFL.

Regardless of position.

I see, well they haven't done anything yet but I think they will get something done with him....it would be a horrible move if they dont.
