they can have far better coaching all they want, the celtics still can play and they have been number 1 all year. It's going to be a good game, but i highly doubt it will be a cakewalk for the rockets.

When Rick Adelman is involved, the other team is doomed.

They play better when the offense flows through McGrady. Add McGrady's 30, subtract Yao's 19 and Ray Allen's 13, and you've got a Rocket victory.
That's just good coaching.

I'm pretty sure it's the second round matchup with LeBron he's looking to avoid.

but factor in the bench and cassell now who are stepping up and you get a celtics victory.....
thats just players playing the game
you think i give a fuck about the first round? have fun playing lebron in the 2nd round. i want no part of that guy. he's good enough to beat the pistons or the celtics by himself.

Not that it matters, really...whoever comes out of the East is just playing to be the sacrificial lamb to the inevetable Rockets championship.

Lebron has proven he can carry the team to the Finals on his own.
Noone in Orlando can say the same.

I remember when the Knicks were 4-1 against the Bulls in the regular season.
And how that didn't matter at all once the playoffs started.

why? KG made it to the conference finals and I believe allen did as well, I think Paul pierce did it 2 and they were all basically the main guys on there team with everything falling on them, Now they have 3 great players that each can carry the team any game.

Ok maybe no one can stop him when its on but all the celtics have to do is stop Lebrons surrounding pieces....ok let him score 30 or 40 or 50....stop the rest of the team and do your own game and the celtics can win. Like I said Im not too worried.

yea actually I was, ive been a celtics fan even when they sucked, sorry im not like all the other fans that abandon there teams when they sucked. I watched alot of celtics games last year when it was just the young guys playing cause pierce sat out half the year, and watched the celtics have a losing streak of about 25 games...and tony allen being a moron and tearing his acl on a dunk he shouldnt have done. anything else?

Yea and unfortunately I wasnt born yet or I was too young to remember any of that. I was raised liking the celtics and sox and bruins though and I chose the raiders when I was younger from peewee football and I thought the symbol was cool. I would like to see the Celtics win the championship but Im not saying they will win this year. I think they can win this year but it depends on how they play. They have been exciting to watch this year though.

It will be tough for them to winChemistry (the lack of) during playoffs....And I really think these guys are gonna get wore down...If they have to face the Cavs in the 2nd rd and then play the Stones that will NOT be an easy chore. If they are successful and make it to the Finals my hats off to them

Yea making it to the finals is tough for any team. I think they could get worn down in the playoffs for that reason alone because cavs then pistons then if they make the finals the best from the west, thats pretty grueling. I think chemistry wise they will be ok. They all gelled pretty quickly during the year and have been playing pretty good as a team. I think 1 downfall in the playoffs might be if they go down in the series that one of the big 3 might abandon the team and try and do it all on there own and that could end up costing them

Regular season and playoffs are 2 completely different monstersEspecially when Chemistry is the topic...Benches shorten...Young guys tighten up...Lack of experience and lack of TEAM can really hurt some teams

Allen had Cassell and Glenn Robinson in their primes during that run. Don't get me wrong I love Ray Allen, but he didn't carry that Bucks team.

And in Pierce's case, Antoine Walker was the Jordan and Pierce was the Pippen.
KG made it to the conference finals once with Cassell and Sprewell..but before and after that, he was Pau Gasol lik in his inability to get out of the first round.
The Celtics did pick up Cassell, and as long as he's healthy, that will help a ton come playoff time.

I love KG, but he has a habit of being MIA when the lights are the brightest. In MN, always passed up the big shot. Luckily, he has a few players that don't back away from that now in Boston.
Houston's streak was incredible, but I worry about their ability to sustain without Yao through the playoffs. They are incredibly thin in the frontcourt and they will face a number of teams in the West with big bodies down there. I can't imagine Mutumbo will have much to give after playing all these minutes right now.
