he's just visiting and might sign, but if he is healthy and his knee is ok I like this signing for the raiders

I didn't realize Denver just outright released him.

He's a major injury risk though.

Worth the risk for most teams though. A great player when healthy.

yea but if healthy he is a good WR and the raiders dont really have any good WR right now besides curry......this deal if they sign him should be a faily small contract with little gurantees

He's a major head case, too. Bad enough he's got injury problems to think about, but he'll never be right after Darent Williams' neck exploded all over him...

A cheap deal from the Raiders is no guarantee.

I'm not saying Shanahan can do no wrong, but it says something when a team doesn't have a legit #1 WR, and they release one of their best, if not the best.

Unfortunately for Walker, he can't seem to stay on the field, and I doubt he's going to want a discount.

Now, he might not have a choice though, and come in on a one year deal.

they backed up a truck on a good player in kelly that can be a LB DE or DL and do all those positions good. John clayton even said kelly would have got money like that some place because he is so versatile. Wilson yea it was alot but he wouldnt have signed with the raiders if they didnt give big money so It had to be done. I just think even the raiders realize walker is a huge question mark and shouldnt give a huge deal to him

I think that is it he doesnt have a choice, apparently most teams didnt even look his way. but its being reported its a multiyear deal he would sign

The biggest thing will be his signing bonus and 2008 cap figure anyways.

raiders just signed former first round pick and huge bust Kwame Harris

Raiders agreed to terms with T Kwame Harris on a three-year, $16 million contract.

Oakland had a close-up look for Harris' struggles, but that didn't discourage them. While this makes the Raiders slightly less likely to draft a tackle with the fourth overall pick, Harris will probably best be used as a reserve "swing" tackle

3 years 16 million........i dunno

As long as that headcase Javina doesn't end up back in the NFCN, I could care less where he goes.

Let him rot in Oakland under that senile old coot that is Al Davis.

3 years 16 million........i dunnoPart of this is the cause of all the money the NFL makes, increasing the cap by quite a bit every year, and having non guaranteed contracts.

Teams like the Raiders, who make some bad decisions on personnel, or maybe just overpay quite a bit on someone can cut their losses reasonably, and try again the following season.

However, when I see some of the deals and money being thrown out for career underachievers and backups, I can't help but scratch my head.

16M guaranteed, and 27M in the first 3 years.

That's a lot of dough for a guy with his issues.
