2/27: Larry Fitzgerald, who is currently renegotiating his contract, wants about $7 million more than the Arizona Cardinals have offered, according to CBS Sports (http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10669535/2). GM Rod Graves has offered Fitzgerald a four-year deal including $25 million in guarantees. On the flip side, Fitzgerald wants $32.5 million in guarantees, which is in the ballpark of what Detroit WR Calvin Johnson received last year prior to his rookie campaign. Fitzgerald has some leverage in this situation, because he is currently a drain on the Cardinals salary cap. Fitzgerald is due $14.6 million this season, and $31 million over the next two years, which is making it difficult for the organization to re-sign some of their other free agents.
