Raiders close with Clemons

2/22: The Oakland Raiders are said to be negotiating an extremely lucrative multi-year contract with DE Chris Clemons, according to the San Francisco Chronicle (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/02/22/SPBRV6ITD.DTL). Per NFL sources; the contract should be finalized during the first week of March. Clemons, who was part of the Raiders’ defensive end rotation, starting in only two games in 2007, but posted eight sacks tying for the team lead with Derrick Burgess.
