Sam is always clutch on his first stint with a team, just year 2 he gets bored.


Plus he and KG work well, and i think sam is even willing to be a bench/role player.

IMHO he would have to be. Rondo ate him up and spit him out the other day. Minus the clothesline Sam gave Rondo.

They don't have a lot of assets to trade, so they almost have to hope for a buyout of a veteran PG to backup Rondo.

i think he would be a nice veteran back up, he can score, and some nights, he can still drop 30 (he's done so a few times) and I'd still trust him to take a big shot over pierce or allen.

let me phrase it this way, if i'm the coaching of a team, i dont let ray allen get a clean look, and sam cassell is more then likely to get a clean look due to attention of ray and pierce, and I'd trust him to hit it.

Ray allen has always been one of my favorite players. Being paired up with KG only has elevated him
