He's fine for a #5...problem is we always stick him in the 3 or 4 spot. Ah well...here's to hoping for a splash on the FA market. I still prefer signing speed/defense though...Go with the ozz...He can lead us to the promised land.

You shouldnt be paying a number 5 starter 3.4 mil a year.... if garland could ever learn to decrease his walks, he'd be a solid number 2/3.

As for the money, the weird thing about the sox (williams/reinsdorf) is that they reward loyalty A LOT to guys who don't deserve it *cough* valentin *cough*...ah well...We've got him now. Hopefully he doesn't "Crede" away his career and only perform in the press box for the remainder of his contract.
