It's good that the team pulled it out. It was a tough stretch with a lot learned. The team looks a little more comfortable together, but there are still moments when they seem disjointed.

The defense was subpar, with many defensive lapses. This can be attributed to them being tired and not concentrating enough to cover their men. Hopefully, they'll improve in this aspect. During tonight's game, they did enough to pull out the win against the Rockets, even though they gave up a 22 point lead once more.

It was good seeing that the bench players getting more minutes cause Rudy T must have realized that he needed his bench players producing after that debacle in the Hornets games. We saw a little more of players such as Rush, Walton, and unfortunately, Tierre Brown.

The turnovers and rebounding was up and down for this team. During one game, their turnovers and rebounds would be high. In the next, their turnovers and rebounds would be low. They need to continue to work to make those turnovers low and keep the rebounding high.

All in all, the Lakers need rest after the road trip. They play the Clippers at home on Wednesday and I'm sure the guys are glad to be back home. I'm satisfied and happy for the result :)

Well, I was right about the 2-2 outcome! ;) Just not about the way to get to the outcome...

Clippers and Bulls should be a breeze for the Lekers. Now Suns is tougher to compete with. Lakers shoudl be okay though. I think we'll go 3-0. :)

I really think this club is a playoff team, an 8th seeder. Unfortunately, though if I'm right, I also think that they will be swept en route to a first round exit. Nonetheless I like this team. With Shaq and Kobe, you can bet your money who scores. With this club, many contribute. Nice to see variety in offense.

Lakers really need to take of the ball. Turnovers nearly cost us the game. One time Butler was dribbling I think, and he lost the handle. Kobe thought tierre was tall and pass the ball to him way too high.

But i like the fact that we can build double digit leads. the team will just have to learn how to maintain it.

Nice close game win tonight. First win under a tight situation. It's a good experience for the team.

GO LAKERS!

zero, nothing is going to be a 'breeze' for the Lakers this season.

But, you were right about 2-2, and I can live with that.

Zhengi, I hope you are right about them learning, they need to.

I would like to see the whole roster healthy, and see how they do then, but just making the playoffs might need to be the goal.

I thought they would be a 6 seed give or take, but their play so far does not make me optomistic.

i'm not liking the way brown plays... i'm wondering whether we kept the right guy in brown. i wonder if bobbit would have been a better choice. still too early in the season, but i can't help but think about that.

i think bulls and clippers are teams lakers should be beating... well, it was just my opinion anyway. it's weird though how you thought lakers are going to be seeded 6. the way i see it, it's 8 or nothing.
also, i'm dying to know why rudy t doesn't seem to use butler as much as he should be!

You've all made great points and they are all areas we'll continue to work on. Turnovers,Rebounding, defense, closing games out and offensive support.

ANY team would take a 2-2 road trip that was four games in five nights.

The two aspects that I've noticed in the past games that are our biggest problems are

1. Not hitting open shots at a high enough percentage. We're getting good looks pretty consistently.

2. Movement. but I'm not talking about ball movement. We do not have enough player motion. We're running an umbrella offense with one low post player and 4 shooters spread in an umbrella around the arc. We need more player motion which will only increase ball movement and lead to easy scores. This has another affect. The less effort we need on offense to score only ups the defensive effort.

These two areas getting better will make other areas better by a simple domino effect.

Go Lakes!!!

mensa, hopefully, that is what Rudy is aiming for and the players just need time to get used to his plan and each other.

Otherwise, we are screwed.

The one thing this "new" team has going for it: Rudy
